Foresight Falcon Review: Top-Tier Performance, Now More Affordable

The Foresight Falcon is shaking up the golf simulator world, especially if you've wanted an overhead setup without the mess. Foresight Sports took the best parts of the GCHawk, made them smaller, and lowered the price, but kept the performance top-notch. At $14,999, it’s a good $5,000 cheaper than the GCHawk, which puts it within reach for golfers serious about setting up a simulator at home.

You'll notice right away that the Falcon packs a lot of the GCHawk's punch into a smaller package. It’s only 3.5 feet long and weighs 26 pounds, so it’s way easier to install than the GCHawk's big 7-foot size. Okay, so you do need those clubface stickers to get all the data on your club. It's kind of annoying, but whatever, it’s for an indoor setup so it’s not a huge deal. At least they give you a sticker thing to put them on faster.

Compared to the GCHawk, the Falcon is almost the same but costs $5,000 less. You don’t get the other sports stuff like soccer, but if you're buying this for golf, who cares? It’s just as good as the GCHawk when it comes to how well it works and how right on the numbers are.

Hooking the Falcon up to your computer is easy. You can use USB-C, Ethernet, or WiFi. And the Ethernet is way faster than the GCHawk now. That makes getting the data easier.

The Falcon works with all of Foresight’s software, like FSX Play, FSX 2020, and Foresight Fairgrounds. The graphics on FSX Play look really good, some of the best you can find, and the 25 golf courses you get will keep you busy. They are all well known courses.

Okay, now for the bad stuff. $14,999.99 is still a lot of money. The Falcon is only for indoors too. Once you put it on the ceiling, it’s staying there. You can’t just take it to the range like the GCQuad or QuadMAX.

The ceiling has to be at least 9.5 feet high, but really, 10 feet is better. And even though the hitting area is big, you still have to put the ball in certain spots to get all the club data.

If you want a great overhead launch monitor for your indoor setup, the Foresight Falcon is a great option. It’s made to last, plus you don’t have to pay any subscriptions to use all the stuff it comes with.

The Foresight Falcon is perfect for golfers who want a clean, clutter-free simulator setup where accuracy and ease of use are the top priorities. It’s not built for portability, but for a dedicated indoor setup, that’s actually a strength. If you’ve got the budget and the space to make it work, the Falcon is going to be tough to top.
