Who is your favorite Indian goddess and why?
It represents Ma Durga to me, Jagadambe, jagad janani.
Durga (Shakti) is a fierce, strong, courageous, and gutsy warrior who never gives up. She will never give up trying to accomplish her goal once she sets it, no matter what. Strong demons that male gods were unable to defeat have been slain by her, including Mahishasur, Shumbha, Nishumba, Raktabeej (killed by Kali, another incarnation of Durga), Durgasur, and Arunasur.
It implies that Durga is also capable of deflecting Shiva's trident, the ultimate god, if it is directed at her. She embodies Lord Shiva's energy. With the exception of one warrior, Atikya (son of Ravana), who caught the trident in midair when Shiva threw it in his direction, no one has the capacity to stop the trident in flight.
None of the gods, not even the almighty Brahma and Vishnu, have the courage to approach Durga/Kali when she is enraged. Only Shiva can calm her down; he won't engage in combat with her in front of her. To calm her down, he utilizes his imagination. I'm distributing the samples.
Example 1. He lay down amid the demon corpses, and when Kaali (Durga) placed her right foot on her, she was initially shocked before becoming calm.
Example 2. Shiva transformed into a screaming baby, and when enraged Kaali saw the baby, she changed her attitude and began to care for the infant ( her anger was gone).
Sample 3. Once, when Kali was enraged, Shiva urged her to dance with him. They both got into a dance. Kali followed Shiva's every move.
Shiva then performed a difficult maneuver called "Urdhvatandava," which Kali rejected since it was inappropriate for a lady, and she calmed down.
Durga/Kali is a powerful, unstoppable warrior and the best fighter with unwavering resolve. She is also Lord Shiva's consort, another powerful character. She is a wonderful mother to its loyal devotees and is also incredibly kind, loving, sensitive, and delicate. She will bless you at the appropriate time if you love her completely and submit to her, surrendering your life to her.- Wo Pareeksha bohot katheen leti hai lekin bohot meetha phal bhi deti hai. :-)
