Welcome to Steemit Learning Challenge Season 23 Week#5.In this course we are exploring the Venezuelan cuisines this week, their spices, their cooking style, and a food recipe that is the most popular.

Venezuelan Cuisine

I welcome you to the best Venezuelan cuisine you have ever seen, with its amazing and rich history,crazy ingredients, and amazing regional flavours , spices and diversity, and cooking techniques, shaped by the country's history, geography, and cultural influences. You will feel Venezuela's warmth and hospitality in this cuisine.
Venezuelan cuisine is a blend of indigenous, Spanish, African, and Caribbean flavors.

Popular Dishes

Arepas : most popular Cornmeal patties filled with cheese, meat, or vegetables.
Pabellón Criollo :The recipe consisting of shredded beef, black beans, rice, and fried plantains.
Cachapas : Corn pancakes filled with cheese, meat, or vegetables.
Tequeños : Fried dough sticks filled with cheese, often served as a snack.
Hallacas : A recipe made from cornmeal, meat, and spices.

Cooking Techniques :

Grilling : Venezuelan cuisine makes extensive use of grilling, especially for meats and seafood.
Stewing : Stews are a common cooking method in Venezuelan cuisine, often made with meat, vegetables, and tropical fruits.
Frying : Frying is used to prepare various dishes, including fried plantains, yuca, and dough sticks.

Key Ingredients :

Corn : Corn used as staple ingredient in Venezuelan cuisine, used to make arepas, cachapas, and tamales.
Plantains : It is used in various recipes, from fried snacks to stews.
Meat : Beef, pork, and chicken are used in Venezuelan cuisine.
Tropical fruits : Venezuelan cuisine has many recipes in which they use Mangoes, pineapples, and papayas add sweetness and unique flavor to it.

Street food : Venezuelan street food, like arepas and tequeños, is a popular snack or meal on-the-go.

"Arroz con Pollo y Vegetales" OR Rice with chicken and vegetables

Ingredients :

2 cups of White Rice
3Chicken Breasts, cubed
3 cups of Water
2 tsp Ground Cumin
2 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tsp Dried Thyme
Salt to taste
Ground Black Pepper to taste
Dried Minced Garlic 2 tsp
Dried Rosemary 2 tsp
1 White Onion, chopped
4 cloves Garlic, crushed, peeled
Frozen Mixed Vegetables 2 1/2 cups
Vegetable Oil as needed
Worcestershire Sauceto taste
1/2 Green Bell Pepper, chopped, deseeded
1/2 Red Chili Pepper, chopped, deseeded

Making :

step 1:

Add Ground Cumin (2 tsp), Dried Oregano (2 tsp), Dried Thyme (1 tsp), Dried Minced Garlic (2 tsp), and Dried Rosemary (2 tsp) to the Chicken Breasts (3). Mix well, then add Salt (to taste), Ground Black Pepper (to taste), and Worcestershire Sauce (to taste). Marinated chicken for 30min.

Step 2:

If you're not taking Frozen vegetables pack like me then cut all vegetables nicely. Capsicum, carrots, onion ,peas, beans, red chilli are used in this recipe.

Step 3:
Add Vegetable Oil (as needed) to a heating skillet, then add the well mixed chicken. Stir fry until cooked and then remove from the the skillet into a container.

Step 4 :
Then in the same pan, add the Green Bell Pepper (1/2), Red Chili Pepper (1/2), White Onion (1), Garlic (4 cloves), and Frozen Mixed Vegetables (2 1/2 cups). Stir fry until cooked.

Step 5 :
Add the chicken, White Rice (2 cups), and peas with vegetables, mix well then add Water (3 cups). Put the lid on until cooked.

Now,delicious rice with chicken and vegetables are ready to serve. Serve and enjoy!
