Unbridled Generosity
We get asked for money so much that we always have the Iron Dome of "billing countermeasures" up to deflect us from attack. A senior citizen had warned me that nothing impoverished a man faster than unbridled generosity.
He was right. I saw what it did to me in time past. It didn't cause me any harm because I was always happy to give but I have carefully calibrated everything I give. Something strange, however, happens to me when I give generously.
In all of this, I do not count myself a grand giver because I am miserly and frugal; a blend of both.
