Gigabyte presents RGB RAM memory with chipless modules
Effectively, purely to show off lights.
Gigabyte is going to launch its first RAM memory kits through its Aorus brand, and like almost all peripherals and computer components that come out in this world we live in, they carry RGB lighting. The funny thing, the interesting thing, the wonderful thing about these 16 GB RAM kits is that they come with four modules, of which only two include the memory chips. The other two are just casings to fill the space that the chips do not fill. Before starting to write letters to the Gigabyte headquarters with your typewriters, consider this for a moment: there are people who will buy these kits. The reason? It's good, it's that simple .
Gigabyte is convinced that thanks to its fake modules , users "will not have to buy memory kits with RGB functionalities to fill the spaces of their assembly". Apparently, in this way we will not have to spend more money on RAM to fill the gap in our DDR ports. Let each one draw their own conclusions.
Regarding the specifications of the kit, it is 16 GB of RAM in two modules of 8 GB (plus the two false) DDR4 at 3200 MHz with times of 16-18-18-38. Gigabyte uses Samsung B-die chips for them, which are considered some of the best there is at the moment, and has ensured that the memories have gone through a complete testing process. It would be interesting to see the detailed commercial results of a product of these characteristics, do not you think?
