While the other three are unquestionably hellish, the Salar de Uyuni is one of the biggest tourist attractions in South America.
This is may definition of hellish, TBH :p
Haha, hard to argue with that! Thankfully, due to its huge size and relative uniformity, it's easy enough to go somewhere with nobody else visible to the horizon.
