Generation Z
Have you noticed that kids that are 22 nowadays don’t have the same thought process as the earlier generations🧐. Did you notice how they’re always on their phone or device but many of them fail to finish school? Well there is definitely a reason why me🙋🏾♂️ and many of my fellow generation Z’ers 👮🏻♂️👩🏽🌾👨🏾💻act this way and it might make you upset.
clears throat
Well the reason most of us, don’t wanna finish college is because it’s expensive💸💸. Like think about your future from my personal stand point. You grow up walking the path towards higher education, you 👉🙀 alongside thousands of other kids around the country. Then when you finish your freshman year with top marks or at least average you get the bill- -35,000 dollars for ONE WHOLE YEAR🤭. Now take my younger brother watching this same scenario happen twice✌🏾already. Long story short he didn’t go to college. Also we both had partial 🏀sports🏈 scholarships among others.
Now for kids who do graduate they find themselves struggling in saturated and drinched markets. Now all hope isn’t lost for us cause I know that’s what some people think, my mom 👩🏻included, but what’s really going on is a surge in independence🗣✊🏾. Most traditional ways of thinking insure maintaining status quo🏘 and living a less than full potential life. Which is yes more secure than other methods but where’s the fun and excitement in working for another person’s dream🤷🏼♀️. I mean most adults in my life hate waking up in the morning🌅 to work and only getting two off days out of a seven day week🗓. Then these same people turn on the television 📺 or stream a show or movie about being independent 🤑 and doing what you want to WHENEVER you want to🛫. These are all just honest personal opinions mixed with personal accounts but this isn’t a new story to tell and it’s not gonna change anytime soon.
Now the purpose of the post was initially to host awareness on traditional🎎 career path choosing but now I feel like it’s more centered towards asking for help. There are lots of young Americans 🇺🇸 out here who have the brains to cure and solve most of the worlds problems. Since we can’t find good paying honest work without a degree👩🏾🎓 many of us settle for trades👨🏻🏭, which isn’t a problem but if they don’t desire that kind of labor then they won’t give there full potential. Ask yourself honestly would you? We all have our own opinions💭 and no two people are the same, but for a general census on the situation, in my life, the problem is the lack of opportunity given to young people.
