Como vídeo-jugador que soy y he sido toda mi vida, desde la adolescencia soñaba con tener la primera portátil de sony, la consola que revoluciono el mundo de los vídeo juegos la genial PlayStation one.

Pero al ser un adolescente no dependía de mi sino de mis padres que nunca tu vieron lujos excesivos así que pasaron muchos años para ver cumplido mi sueño.

As a video player that I am and have been all my life, since adolescence I dreamed of having the first sony laptop, the console that revolutionized the world of video games the great PlayStation one.

But as a teenager I did not depend on myself but on my parents who never saw excessive luxury so it took many years to see my dream come true.

Bueno la PlayStation one salió al mercado mundial en el año 1999 y cuando salió yo era muy joven, la consola no tenía juegos llamativos pero más o menos dentro de 3 años se volvió una consola con un catálogo realmente atractivo, cuando salieron juegos como final fantasy 7 , metal Gear y resident evil se volvió demasiado atractiva, pero no fue hasta mucho tiempo después incluso cuando ya existía la playstation 2 que logre mi sueño de tener mi anhelada playstation one.

Well, the PlayStation one was released to the world market in 1999 and when it came out I was very young, the console had no flashy games but more or less in 3 years it became a console with a really attractive catalog, when games like final fantasy came out 7, Metal Gear and Resident Evil became too attractive, but it wasn't until long after that even when the PlayStation 2 already existed that I achieved my dream of having my longed-for Playstation One.

Al graduarme de bachillerato la mayoría de los padres incluyendo los míos, aconsejan seguir los estudios universitarios, cosa que en ese momento en aquella lejana y mucho mejor que ahora económicamente hablando (aunque en todo la verdad) Venezuela, la cuestión pasaba por un simple hecho o estudiabas en una universidad pública o en una universidad privada.

When I graduated from high school, most of the parents, including mine, advise to continue university studies, something that at that time in that far away and much better than now economically speaking (although in all truth) Venezuela, the question passed by a simple fact or you were studying at a public university or a private university.

En ese momento no existían las misiones del gobierno así que habían muy pocas universidades públicas, así que para lo que yo quería estudiar solo había una opción, La Universidad de los Andes, la opción privada era la universidad Católica, la cual recuerdo era bastante costosa al menos para los estándares económicos de mi familia.

At that time there were no government missions so there were very few public universities, so for what I wanted to study there was only one option, The University of the Andes, the private option was the Catholic university, which I remember was quite expensive at least by my family's economic standards.

Así que con mucho optimismo fui a presentar la prueba de Admisión de la ULA y bueno un desastre total, quede de numero 460 de 2000 personas que presentaron, nada no pude acceder a la universidad y bueno la opción que quedaba era la privada, entonces hablando con algunos amigos ellos me explicaron que habían hecho un curso para presentar la prueba de admisión, cosa que yo no hice. Bueno le dije a mis padres que intentáramos otra vez y que esta vez ingresaría al curso de preparación el cual era bastante costoso y tenía una duración de 3 meses, pero era mejor que ponerse a pagar una educación privada de 5 años.

So with great optimism I went to present the ULA Admission test and well a total disaster, number 460 of 2000 people left, nothing I could not access to the university and well the option that was left was the private one, so speaking With some friends they explained to me that they had taken a course to present the admission test, which I did not do. Well I told my parents to try again and that this time I would enter the preparation course which was quite expensive and lasted 3 months, but it was better than paying for a 5-year private education.

Empecé en el curso día a día iba a las clases, pero los números realmente eran preocupantes, en el curso habían 120 alumnos y sabia de otra institución que dictaba un curso similar y solo quedaban 65 personas en la Universidad de los Andes, no había otra tenía que dar lo mejor de mi o me vería obligado a ingresar a una institución privada lo cual realmente afectaría el bolsillo de mi familia.

I started in the course day by day I went to classes, but the numbers were really worrying, in the course there were 120 students and I knew of another institution that dictated a similar course and there were only 65 people left at the Universidad de los Andes, there was no other I had to do my best or I would be forced to enter a private institution which would really affect my family's pocket.

Llego el día presente la prueba, la cual fue realmente difícil, la primera vez que la presente como no tenía idea de nada me pareció bastante fácil y saque como 35 puntos sobre 100 y quede como de 460 . Esta vez sí tenía los conocimientos y me di cuenta de la dificultad de la prueba.

The day came the test, which was really difficult, the first time I presented it as I had no idea of ​​anything, it seemed easy enough to me and I got like 35 points out of 100 and was like 460. This time I did have the knowledge and I realized the difficulty of the test.

Al salir de la prueba compare resultados con mis compañeros de curso y bueno todos ellos tenían las mismas respuestas y yo era el único con las respuestas diferentes, me dije “hasta aquí, no pude! la cague otra vez”

When I came out of the test, I compared the results with my classmates and well they all had the same answers and I was the only one with different answers, I said to myself “up to here, I couldn't! screw it up again "

Finalmente salieron los resultados un vecino que hizo el curso conmigo llamo a la casa, mi mama muy optimista me dijo “mijo valla a buscar los resultados” yo solo quería que el apocalipsis empezara, sabía que mis respuestas eran diferentes a todas estaba seguro de que la mayoría no podía equivocarse. Pero así fue la mayoría se equivocó y yo termine obteniendo 86 puntos sobre 100 en la prueba siendo la mejor calificación, lo que me permitió ingresar en la Universidad de los Andes por la carrera de Administración.

Finally the results came out a neighbor who did the course with me called the house, my very optimistic mom told me "millet, go find the results" I just wanted the apocalypse to begin, I knew that my answers were different from all I was sure that most could not be wrong. But that was the way most of them were wrong and I ended up getting 86 points out of 100 in the test, being the best grade, which allowed me to enter the Universidad de los Andes for the Administration career.

Así fue que para celebrar que iba a cursar una carrera en la educación pública y mi familia iba a ahorrar un buen dinero mi madre bella, accedió a regalarme la consola PlayStation one, la cual disfrute muchísimo durante muchos años.

So it was that to celebrate that I was going to pursue a career in public education and my family was going to save good money, my beautiful mother agreed to give me the PlayStation one console, which I enjoyed very much for many years.
