Ancient Mills by the Beach, Quebec, Gaspesie

This town from where I come from is next to a swamp borded by a large beach. Structures of stone can be seen reminiscent of a time where the local industry was rolling.

Those structures used to be mills to saw wood coming down the river to be used in a naval port nearby.

It is now long forgotten and is left to be silent in the summer wind.
