I have four kids, three of them started driving at 16 (my 15-year old daughter is in her first day of driving training just today. YIKES!) The thing is, they are all different in temperment but all did really well. They worked to pay their own car expenses (insurance, gas, etc.) So, I am happy with the driving age law for the opportunities it offers BUT parents should make the final decision for their child to drive or not. :)
