We've lost it.
Due to the satisfaction players in the caliber of Ronaldo or Messi gives, gamers tend to use them on a regular bases in other to outwit opposing teams hence emerging victorious. The motives of the gamer playing Messi or Ronaldo in a play station console(PS) is to win right? and we know that the Messi character in a PS can't function on it's own accord without the gamer who handles the controls with a joystick/pad. From what's outlined above, its safe to call the gamer the lord of the PS, the one that gives directions and his intended purpose for each player character to carry out. He controls when a player passes or shoots the ball, makes a tackle, runs with the ball, he chooses who is captain, who should be the top 9(striker), his defenders, midfielders etc. He's in total control of what happens on the pitch of play.
Imagine a scenario where the Messi character(in the player station console) experiences a glitch, what becomes of him? How then can he fulfill the purpose and follow the direction of his master(the gamer). As a glitch, the Messi character has severed the control of the gamer over it. It's left to roam about the PS console aimlessly without direction due to it's malfunction, meaning that the Messi character can no longer fulfill the purposes for which it was programmed–the gamer's satisfaction.
In reality most of us are as the malfunctioned Messi character in a PS console. We've experienced glitches and have began to wander away in the wrong direction. Having no sense of fulfillment in life, not knowing what our purposes are, why we were created in the first place, nor have we any idea why we're Nigerians, or what we're doing in "that" family, & why we're in that school or why you're online now. Many don't know the reason for their existence, nor do they know what potentials lay buried inside of them, they're lost.
Within the answers to these thoughts lies the key to a fulfilled, effective life.
How possible is it to have a fulfilled life when we're all glitches in the system, when we've lost direction and now left to wander about. How soon can we come to the realisation that we've been going about life the wrong way, that our decision over the years have been made out of error, that we've set the wrong goals and dreamt out of the intended purpose of our very own existence.
Man in his own wisdom have neglected the one who brought him into life. The only one that called him forth into being. He who out of his plans and purpose for us has positioned us where we are now. Man has become a handicap towards himself for failing to acknowledged that he isn't the owner of this life he has.
In today's world, we've come to accept whatever life has to offer, under the acquiescence that life's happening to us. But in essence we are meant to happen to life, we're suppose to impact, and not be passive. The purpose of our being is meant to be fulfilled, our lives are meant to change others, we're meant to be solutions to a particular problem in today's society. But how can we achieve all this if we remain as "glitches", if we've not come to ask the very one who created us for guidance, if we've not granted Him total access and ownership over our lives.
It's obvious that the Messi character as a glitch cannot live up to it's potentials, because the gamer has no control over it. In the same manner we humans can't perform or leave up to our potentials and rightful goals in life, if we remain as " glitches".
Isn't it time for man to give his creator an absolute control?
Isn't it time to make man's creator the LORD of his life? For it is understood that man can't function effectively in the right way so therefore it is highly imperative that he asks his creator for help, direction and revelational knowledge on how to go about his very own existence.
We all know that when the purpose of anything isn't known, it's abuse is inevitable. So therefore I indulge us all to ask our maker for the reason why we were created and His intended purpose for us, this way we shall leave a life that satisfy HIM.
You know the beautiful holy book said; "wisdom is the principal thing, and in all thy getting get understanding ".
Wisdom simply being the rightful application of knowledge and understanding the comprehension of this knowledge, I urge us to always ask the " why" and "what" questions even as we leave our lives daily.
