''Barun Trenk'' - Požega steak

in #gastronomy6 years ago

Hello people, steemians and other creators!

Today i was searching for some of my old pictures and I accidentally found one. I almost forgot that I have it. It's an old picture of my first gastro task at study program called Food and drink department specialists (SHIP) in Opatija. I remember how proud I was when the meal was done. The steak is called ''Barun Trenk'' and it's a part of traditional cuisine of Požega. It's a famous Croatian steak and I proudly present you..

Here is the recipe for this piece of art:
800g Pork loin
50g Special sausage called KULEN
1 boiled egg
40g Ajvar (pepper-based condiment made principally from red bell peppers and oil)
200g champignon
2 cloves of garlic
1 chili pepper
0,5dl white wine
1 scoop of cream
1 scoop of cornstarch
Salt, pepper

Cut the steaks, lightly beat them, salt them and daub them with ajvar. On each steak you have to put a slice of Kulen and a quarter of an egg, roll them up and stick them with a toothpick. Fry them rashly on just a little bit of oil, sprinkle it with wine and with little water, add the chilli peper and simmer it until it softens. Sprinkle the mushrooms sliced on leaflets and garlic on a butter and mix the steaks together with a mixture of cream and cornstarch.
Enjoy!
