Inside the wage board meeting, outside position
The first meeting of the lowest wage board formed for ready-made garment workers has started. The meeting began at the wage board office on Monday at 12.20pm on Monday. Meanwhile, workers and workers of some labor organizations under the Wage Board's office are holding a sit-in program demanding the minimum wage of sixteen thousand rupees.

After ten minutes of the meeting, leaders of the Garment Workers' Rights Movement gave a memorandum to the chairman of the board demanding the minimum wage of 16 thousand taka for garment workers. Workers leader Mahbubur Rahman Ismail, Mosharrefa Mishu, Taslima Akhter and others were present in the meeting. Later, Garment Workers' Unity Council gave a memorandum to the chairman of the wage board demanding wages of Tk 18,000.
At present, the minimum wage of garments workers is Tk 5,300
