Tiny Garden Update III

Blooming spring onions

It has been another two weeks since the last tiny garden update. Let’s dive in?

I would like to start by saying huge thank you for your engagement, lovely comments I appreciate greatly and for using the tag #tinygardenproject with your absolutely wonderful gardening posts! Really enjoyed reading and seeing them. I only now noticed that posts disappear from tags once they are older than one week? If you use search function plus the tag, you can still find all of them.

The other day I had conversation with my brother about gardening after he saw all the effort and the hard work I have put into it. Is it really worth it? All preparations, planting, sowing, regular watering, sweating in hot sun while weeding, all blisters, sandpapery skin and sore muscles. So much easier to stroll around with the cart at the shop and pick up whatever is needed. For some it might not be worth the trouble. Absolutely understand. However, for me it is so worth it! Pure joy!

I am happy to report that everything is ready and growing. Completed also the first round of weeding and doing regular watering. Take a look at my little seedlings! Aww

Chamomile forming flower buds

Would you care for refreshment? Peppermint tea or mojito? ^^

Bell peppers are blooming

Yellow tomato flowers

Lavender looks so much more stronger, greener and forms new branches. Really hopeful for flowers this year! Oh, yes! It still heavily guarded by the funny looking cage thingy. Damn cats, stay away!

These little buddies are peas

Magic beans, hehe

Radishes

Spinach

Dill. We Latvians love to add dill to everything. Mmm

Different types of lettuce, because you can never have enough of lettuce!

Still learning things. I tried to film a short walk-through of my tiny garden. Apologies for the quality in advance. My tiny garden teaches me a lot of patience, mindfulness, importance of hard work and so, so much more. I am grateful beyond words that I have this opportunity to garden and learn from the nature.

Thank you so much for reading, watching and visiting!

What a coincidence! My spring onions just started to blossom also! Sadly, I have not been in my garden. It might be too late for me.

Aww. Understandable. Yeah timing is quite important. Last year I also started late and lot of things didn't seem to grow well. Weather conditions also were bad. Lot of rain and cold. So far it seems better this year :)

Hi m31. You certainly have green fingers. You need to grow more mint. Love my Mojito's. You have a lot going on with all the different varieties. Watch out for the lettuce in case the bunnies come and eat them.

Hey. I hope you are right :) My granny had true green fingers. I learned a lot from her. Oh, mint just started. There's gonna be a lot more.

I worry more about snail armadas and local cat destroyers. Last year snails were unstoppable and cats, well those little shits think that my raised beds are large sand box meant for them to... you know. Haha.

Congratulations friend for your great dedication, with love look at all the good that is harvested, God bless your hands and continue to perform this wonderful work.

Thank you. Even though with nature one can never be sure all the hard work will result into good harvest, it is the journey and lessons on the way that matter to me most. End result/harvest is just the cherry on top.

This is a friend, you are very right in your answer, we care about the results, the experiences, and the ones we experience when we do any work, whether the results are positive or not. I invite you to give me your great opinion on my last post about our network steemit, I hope to have your opinion greetings.

I love it, I grow lots of things myself, fruit trees at the moment. Apple, orange, lemon, Avo and Mango trees that will wait for the spring to come so they can go in the soil and then time for tomatoes, carrots, green beans, basil, chives and potatoes which I still have a few in the soil of.

It is so rewarding isn't it.

Hey, hey @petesays ^^

That sounds amazing! You live somewhere warm right? I wish I could grow oranges and mangos here. Hm. Probably too cold though for those and summertime is so short.

We have potatoes, onions and cucumbers in the big field. Still need to sow some carrots and beets.

It is so, so rewarding indeed :)

Hey, yup I live in South Africa and the weather does help a great deal. You should look at a tall enough greenhouse and try growing some fruit trees in large pots. It can be done.

Big fields, that sounds like fun. Most people have no idea of what they're missing.

nice post. Dedication. I read so much satisfaction when you write about seeing and observing your own creation and nurturing. The earth is truly your mother. :) steem on

Thank you for stopping by @lonas! ^^

Earth is incredible with it's ability to hold all life. I can never stop admiring live things around us.

Creating my own garden has been truly amazing. Love working there.

Thank you for an interesting informative tour.
So many beautiful plants in your garden! Bravo.
It's good when you love farming and gardening.
You grow your own vitamins.

Best wishes from, @singa

Hi there @singa! :)

Hehe, in another two weeks I hope to make huge bowl of delicious and fresh salad using things from my garden ^^ Spinach alone is twice the size since this update.

Thank you for reading my blog! Hope to see you around on platform. Steem on!

How nice! Of course it's worth it, definitely when you put your heart into it, love, time and dedication to a job, it becomes part of you and satisfaction is energy for the heart, and those colors and freshness you won't get in the supermarket! I think there is a lot of tea to offer, I congratulate you on your excellent work.

Thank you @melvadg :) I become like different person when I'm at my garden. I calm down immediately and focus on task at hand, thoughts in the background just clear up. It is really satisfying to see my work affecting my plants in a good way, flourishing and getting stronger.

Woooww, it's more extensive than I imagined! (Watched the video). I was hoping that you'd show an over-all view too - And the music in the vid is so nice and relaxing.

You should get your brother to help you some time! Make him do the weeding ;P ... Weeding my garden was one of my favourite things to do... Very therapeutic, when looking back and seeing the nice clean soil between the plants, weed-free ^^

Ah, yeah. Over-all view. Still figuring out the filming part with my camera and it's lack of auto focus. Will have to see about some settings :)

I have made him slave a little. He doesn't enjoy it whatsoever and does it with absolutely no love for plants. So I decided that it is criminal to make him do it, both, for his and plants sake.

I enjoy weeding though for exactly the reasons you described :)

Hello @ m31, your garden is very prosperous, they give so much life and generate very special atmospheres in a house, it is worth having them and looking for more ideas to be able to apply them in a special project like this one. I hope you have us aware of how these beautiful plants are growing

The gardens fill a house with life, they are very special areas and with the right design they can become the center of attention of any structure. A garden can be a big challenge, because its maintenance is usually quite demanding and expensive. God bless your beautiful garden
