The Hardy Iceberg Roses

With the severe drought that we have been experiencing, I have been doing my best to try and keep my plants alive with grey water as we are not allowed to.use potable water.

I have two iceberg roses and I was very sad when I saw the one had died - at least that was what I assumed.

The other day however, as I was walking around the garden, I was delighted to see new growth emerging out of the layer of my "chop and drop" mulch!!

This just reinforces my belief in this whole method of mulching and I know it saved my rose bush.
