Where there is life there's hope

This sad looking specimen is actually a basil plant. I purchased it too early in the season and it didn't like the cold. Most would have given it up as a lost cause and tossed it in the trash. Since I had an area of garden that is under construction I thought why not and planted it. In the past couple days I see new leaves forming. I am going to try my best to revive it.
