The pesky problem of pests on Citrus

in #gardening7 years ago

I have 4 varieties of citrus in my backyard. Two different types of oranges, a lemon and a mandarin. They seem to attrack all types of different pests which attack the leaves, fruit and the branches. I've heard about White Oil before and always wanted to try it.

So as the pests started to get out of control I figured I had better try it. If it works it's such a cheap easy way to control a whole bunch of pests in one go. There's Cottony Cushion Scale, Red Scale, Leaf Minor, Stink Bugs, Cattapillars, Weevils and more.

So far the results have been really good. It is winter though and this is a treatment that you have to reapply regularly. So I will spray again at the start of Spring and continue monthly spraying after that. If that's not enough during spring I will do it fortnightly.

It's super easy to make and I show you exactly how I did it in the video below...

Thanks for watching.
