"Nobody saves the world" completed: Now I don't know what to do

in #gamingyesterday

There's an old saying that there are certain games that are so amazing to a particular person that when it is over you sit there and actually watch all the credits and listen to the music all the way to the end of it and then sit there staring at the login screen wondering what the hell you are going to do next.

That's the situation I find myself in yet again and well, I don't know what to go after next.

This was such a brilliant, silly, and playable game that I haven't had many experiences quite like honestly. Now that I have finished almost all of what can be done in the game (there are 2 optional dungeons I didn't complete and a few other collectibles) I am looking at the catalog of games that I have already and also ones I have access to and I am at a loss as to what I am going to do next. I'll pose some of the options to you later and have the people vote as to what they think I should do.

Unlocking all of the playable characters was a joy for the most part although I did find some of them to be much more fun to play with than others. In the end I have a few favorites such as Monk, Slug, and Dragon, and I also have a few that I really don't ever want to use such as the Rogue, Warrior, and Ranger. It was surprising to me that I didn't enjoy those last ones because it seems like they would be the best ones. I suppose everyone is different.

There is a character called the "egg" that I really don't think there is much purpose for. I only used it when getting into nests because you have to advance the egg beyond a certain level in order to unlock the top form of Dragon.

Speaking of which, the Dragon is extremely powerful to the point that once maxed out, I'm relatively certain that nothing can kill you unless you want it to. I know that nothing came close to defeating me in Dragon form and when one of the things you had to do to level up again was to "heal damage using spells" I was having a tough time doing this because nothing was hurting me naturally. I had to just stand there and let them hit me without fighting back in order to get enough damage done to actually heal it. Otherwise the passive buffs would simply heal me back up again.

Once you have the dragon you make very quick work of anything that was previously giving you trouble. The only time the Dragon doesn't make minced meat of opponents is in dungeons where there are certain "wards" (shields that nothing can penetrate until they are broken by a certain damage type) and you can always just put up some other skill into the Dragon's optional skills to break these wards and then absolutely rip whatever you are up against.

I defeated the final boss the first time I got to it with very little difficulty and you know what? This doesn't bother me at all. I was over-leveled by the time I got there and probably could have taken it on a long time before I did.

It was a fun final boss and unlike any of the other bosses that existed throughout the rest of the game. I like that sort of innovation from DrinkBox studios, a studio that apparently came about and was created by developers who determined they were only going to create games that they would want to play themselves. Every single one of their games I have played has been an absolute joy, so I think I may seek out one of the games that they have in their lineup to see what I might have missed.

At the moment I have 3 games loaded up and am considering starting to play. Maybe vote if you have an opinion.

  • Dragon Age: The Veilguard
  • God of War: Ragnarok
  • Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

If these don't work out the DLC for Nobody saves the World is only $3, so maybe I will just do that instead :)

As far as I know "Nobody" is available on all major platforms and if you get a chance to play it, I highly suggest you do so.
