Games like "Little Nightmares"
I frequently run into this sort of question so I thought I would have a go at trying to answer it myself.
Little Nightmares and the second installment of it are a unique type of game that I really enjoy because the story of the game isn't laid out for you. It is up to the player to kind of determine the story and a lot of the time there actually isn't much story there at all. You are contained somewhere and you are trying to get out. That's really all you need to know. Along the way more clues are given to you about what, who, and where you are and it can be really cool when you think you have come to a conclusion.
These games are normally visually very impressive, create a scary or otherwise compelling atmosphere, have great music, and normally quite good character and enemy design.

So if you like Little Nightmares here are some games that I think you should check out next if you have the time.
Limbo

This is the first game of this particular type that I ever played and man was it a great experience. You are told literally nothing about what the deal is. You are not given a quest... All you know is that you must carry on to the right of the screen no matter what happens. Not much in the way of any sort of story is actually revealed until the end and even then you are still kind of questioning what the hell happened. This is mostly platforming and of all the ones I am going to feature, this one is likely the most difficult. All of you Elden Ring players will likely scoff at the difficulty level though.
Unravel

Unravel is significantly more light-hearted than anything else on this list, and subsequently it is also a lot easier. There is very little in the way of actual challenge here and unlike all the others, there aren't any instances of you getting mangled a dozen different way when you fail. This is a "family friendly" game about a yarn man who once again, must carry on to the right solving rather easy puzzles along the way.
It is brilliantly designed and you may not even know why, but it touches you emotionally with its tale of sacrifice and friendship along the way.
Brothers

This game is a fantastic one that once again uses no spoken story to tell you what you are meant to do. There are words spoken, but it is not a language that exists in the world today. You play the role of two brothers who need to travel to a far away land in order to retrieve some medicine for your ailing father.
This story of love and commitment to family is about as tragic as they come and while the puzzles are rather simple there are some difficult moments along the way. This is a coming of age story that has a shock ending that will leave you a bit scarred for life having played it. This story is a little more clear than the others, but I do like the way in which they told the story without using a single written or spoken word the entire time.
There are of course many more that fit into this genre, and perhaps I will touch base on them in the future. This has become one of my favorite types of games to play because compared to most of the games that are released on a regular basis, the controls are very simple and easy to remember. You can walk in and out on these games and not come back confused because most of them consist of a jump, run, and crouch button, and that's it!
Also, another benefit of these games is that they tend to cost significantly less than major releases but at the same time don't have a great deal of replay value. There is normally only one way to go in them and you can't deviate from the linear path.
Check em out as most of the above titles are free somewhere anyway.
