This is wild. I personally find myself having trouble coughing up $0.99 for 5 more moves in games like Candy Crush Saga, where my purchase has a direct effect on my enjoying the game more than without making that purchase.

I cannot knock anyone involved in this though. There is big money selling and reselling virtual items. Just look at what Blizzard did with Diablo 3 for instance. I remember Everquest being a big one with people selling stuff outside the game, meeting in the game to deliver, and turning a tidy profit doing it.

This is really nothing new, other than the ridiculous price tag involved. The big question is, what will be the item that tops this gun/skin in cost?
