The best games from the Ubisoft E3 event!

in #gaming7 years ago

The Ubisoft E3 event last night was simply amazing, and I want to use this post to share my favorite upcoming games that were announced or talked about last night. We saw a lot of cool trailers, and even some surprising announcements, and I am sure Ubisoft will give us many hours worth of entertainment in the next year!

The safe bet: Assassin’s Creed Origins

We all expected to learn a lot more about the newest addition to the Assassin’s Creed series, even though a lot of information was leaked just a few days before the event. However, on Obctober 27th, AC Origins will be released for PC, Xbox One and PS4. This game will be more different from the other AC games than we are used to, and will be a much more Action RPG inspired game. This means you’ve got to kill enemies and complete objectives to gain experience and level up. There are many new weapons, and each of these will come in different rarities to provide different stats, just like we know from RPGs.

I’m excited for the new path that AC is going, and I think a new angle on the same series is much needed at this point (and should perhaps have happened a few years ago). I’m really looking forward to exploring all of the ancient Egypt at its prime!

In the YouTube video under you can see real gameplay from the alpha version of the game, and it looks absolutely beautiful!

More South Park

We got a good look at South Park: The Fractured but Whole, which was announced at E3 a year ago. This game will also be released in October, and if you liked the first South Park game by Ubisoft, I’m sure you will love this as well. In this sequel, you get you decide if you want to team up with Cartman or the rival gang: Freedom Pals.

South Park also get a mobile game, called South Park: Phone Destroyer. Not much is known about this yet, but it seems to be a collectable card game.

A new pirate game: Skull & Bones

This newly announced pirate themed game is heavily inspired by the naval warfare from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, which was loved by many. It is really cool to see a new game that only focuses on naval warfare, and the game seems to be multiplayer only, so this will be a competitive game to play with friends.

The game looks absolutely amazing, but I’m personally not a very big fan of multiplayer only PvP type of games, but I will keep my eye out for this, and see if it turns out to be good.

Teaming up with Nintendo: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Ubisoft has teamed up with Nintendo to create a tactical turn-based game that looks a lot like it could be one of the XCOM games. The game looks very charming, and it can be very interesting to see this strange game is such a different setting than we are used to seeing Mario and the Rabbids.

The biggest reveal of it all: Beyond Good & Evil 2

The fans of Beyond Good & Evil have been waiting for this game for 15 years now, and it has finally been officially announced, and even good a sweet promo video. The original game was aimed at a young audience, but judging by the trailer, the game has grown 15 as well, giving the new game the same maturity as the audience that played the original.

Seeing as we’ve only seen CGI montage of the game, we really don’t know what to expect just yet, but this game is created by passionate people, and it will be very interesting to see how it ends up being. I’m betting we won’t really see any real footage of the game for another year, and this will probably be released for next year’s E3.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Steem Gaming,

Assassin's Creed Origins looks really good!

Thanks for sharing the best E3 games!

Hi, thanks for the comment! Yeah, I think AC Origins will be really good as well!

Really looking forward to Skull & Bones. I always wanted to have a multiplayer game with focus on naval battles and there haven't been any that I enjoyed 100% so far. I'm really excited to see how it turns out!

It will for sure be interesting! I just hope they manage to make it well-balanced, and it could be a lot of fun.
