Project Scorpio revealed during E3: the name is Xbox One X!
Project Scorpio was officially unveiled as the Xbox One X during the Microsoft E3 event last night. It is said to be the most powerful console in the world, and will be available to purchase already on November 7th this year. The price tag will be $500, so this will be an expensive console, but you still get a lot of hardware for the price. Luckily it is not a new generation of consoles, so you probably won't need to upgrade unless you are interested in better graphics.
The official Xbox One X image.
Xbox One X has a power of 6 teraflops, which is a lot better than the 4 tetraflops we find in the PS4 Pro. The original Xbox One only had about 1.32, so this is without a doubt a huge upgrade. This is easily enough to run decent 4K graphics, so this is the console you want if you got a 4K TV. The other hardware is also better than the original, with 12GB RAM, and a water cooling system to keep it from overheating and making noise while running. It is aimed at being able to run complex VR games smoothly, and I'm sure it will be able to by looking at the hardware.
The exact size of the console has not been announced, but according to the event, it will be the smallest console in Microsoft’s collection of consoles. But as you can see from the image above, it looks pretty small.

No exclusive games
If you already own an Xbox One, there is really no need to upgrade unless you want better graphics. There is no planned Xbox One X exclusive games as of now, and Microsoft has said that they probably won’t ever do it. So there is no need to upgrade unless you got a 4K monitor, $500 to spend, and just want a better graphical experience when playing Xbox One.
I personally find the name kind of funny, and it is a lot more confusing than what Sony did with the Playstation 4 Pro, which is roughly the same concept as the Xbox One X. However, I also found the name Xbox One kind of funny, but I eventually got used to saying that, so I guess I will get used to this as well.
