Top 5 Guest Characters For Mortal Kombat 11
Mortal Kombat is widely known for it's guest characters and MK11 should be no different. With that in mind, here I am discussing who I believe is the top 5 guest characters that we might be seeing included onto the game's roster as DLC and as guest characters. Though none of this is confirmed and simply just my speculation.I believe all 5 of these characters have a fair shot at being included based on what we've seen and heard from Ed Boon and what we've seen in previous Mortal Kombat games.
5.Pinhead
As he says it himself, Pinhead is pain. Fans have been looking for an inclusion of Pinhead into the Mortal Kombat universe for some time now, as his design and all around attitude would fit so perfectly. While I must admit, since Pinhead completes his torture through the use of hooked chains and his cenobites, it would be weird to see him actually fighting in a game. It could be a strong possibility to have one of his cenobites fight for him as he stands off to the side, much like Ferra/Torr. Honestly that would be the most fitting as well, as a different one (Butterball, The Female, or Chatterer) could fight under each different fight style, but Pinhead could come in and do the real damage during the X-Ray attacks and of course, the fatalities. Let's not forget that seeing Pinhead and his Cenobites stand up against Quan Chi would be one hell of a sight too, there's something eerily familiar between the two that would look great onscreen.
4.Fulgore
Fulgore from Killer Instinct would be the best Microsoft exclusive to grace another fighting game. You're probably questioning Master Chief or Marcus Fenix from Gears of War, but it's hard to imagine Chief receiving a fatality from another character, and Marcus just seems a little bit too clunky to be in a fighting game. There's just too much about Fulgore that already fits in the Mortal Kombat universe. One, he's a robot so he would fit in right alongs the likes of Sektor and Cyrax. With Tri-Borg coming in this next group of fighters, it would be awesome to see Fulgore square up against him. Also, Fulgore already comes from a fighting game; his moveset already has strikes, special moves and even alternate attires that don't need to be changed too much, while they will need to be tweaked to fit into the play style.
3.The Joker
Have we already had the Joker in a Mortal Kombat game? Yes. Was it a toned down, weak excuse for an MK game, with the tamest fatalities in it of all time? Oh yes. The Joker even had a fatality that was so brutal in concept, yet very lamely toned down it was reused in the Mortal Kombat game from 2011, simply because it was just too good to not give the full effect. The Joker is one of the most demented villains in comic book history, and his love for destruction and insanity would truly fit perfectly in the destructive environment of Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe and Injustice: Gods Among Us both showed off a pretty brutal fighting style, however he hasn't been given the ability to showcase that truly homicidal side since both those games were rated T. For the love of god, in The Dark Knight Returns story, The Joker goes on TV and kills everyone before before ending himself by breaking his own neck (a Hara-Kiri perhaps?). It's safe to say The Joker has the ability to be dark and demented, and what a better place to showcase it than Mortal Kombat, but correctly this time?
2.Micheal Myers
The human embodiment of pure evil, Michael Myers would have too much fun with the victims in front of him. Where Jason has his machete, Michael would have his huge kitchen knife, or one character variation could even see him wielding an axe. Much like the Predator who is already included, MIchael was included in Call of Duty: Ghosts as a field order reward where he wields the aforementioned axe, although the character is yet to feature in a fighting game. With Jason being included MK X, having Michael Myers in MK 11 would be awesome. The thing is, both Jason and Michael are masked and silent, unlike Freddy in MK 9 who likes to be heard. They both have that stoic and intimidating feel to them.
1.Spawn
Is it possible to talk about guest characters in Mortal Kombat without Spawn being mentioned? It seems like forever that fans have been pleading for Spawn to find his way into the game. Even Spawn creator, Todd McFarlane, has given Warner Bros. Studios rights to use Spawn in their video games. So why the hell have we not seen him make his way into Mortal Kombat?! We haven't seen the character in a video game since Soulcalibur II, back in 2003, and even that was a fighting game, showing he works in this style. Spawn fits both visually and as a character. He has superhuman strength, speed and durability. As well experienced fighter, it means his hand-to-hand combat would fit in perfectly with Mortal Kombat. There are an endless amount of abilities that would transfer over into his moveset, such as flame-breathing, portal creation, shape-shifting, teleportation and regeneration to name a few. His ability to summon Hellspawn just adds icing to the demonic cake. There are honestly so many things Spawn has at his disposal, it would be hard to select abilities that wouldn't make the cut.
