OMFG if you're a game master/storyteller you'll love this. Medieval Fantasy City Generator

in #gaming6 years ago

I'm often haunted by the lack of depth when it comes to cities inside my games, its hard developing maps (let alone doing it creatively) and sometimes you end up putting your heart and effort to it to find players figuring a plot twitst and not using much of the materials you took time to develop.

Im also a huge fan of creating randomized tools to help enrich and add color the story, characters or places with a simple roll of the dice or a random table, I wont end citing examples of how amazing can simple ideas come together into great story twists, think of it like an instant brainstorming session.

So with this I present your with **Watabu's Medieval Fantasy City Generator**, a procedural generator of maps that will make you a whole city in a snap, it gives you quite a load of options to make a small hamlet or a huge thriving metropolis, being able to add lakes, sea, castle or citadel, temple, more roads and once you generate something you like, you're allowed to modify the city with "vectors" that shape each district, reshaping the city and its buildings with just a couple of clicks.
It even defines different areas of your city making it easier for you to imagine where are the areas of interest to your players, and possible battle scenes and their props. It even has a pretty 3D engine to look t your city in 3d, it seems that the developer has plans to keep adding things to it, so if you can please support the work of this talented dev, for now he allows the use of any map created with his tool at no cost even in commercial uses, super kind!

Please support Watabu so he can keep building this awesome tool, link below.
Happy building!
