Post Apocalyptic Zombie Fun!

7 Days to Die is a survival horror game set in a post apocalyptic zombie filled open world. It was released originally on Steam for Microsoft Windows in 2013, with later versions for the Ps4 and Xbox One coming out in June 2016. As a huge fan of zombie survival games I jumped at the chance to download it. It has a real 'Minecrafty' feel to it yet maintains all the aspects of a true zombie horror game. With the ability to scavenge materials and craft your own strongholds and bases, escaping waves of zombies has never been so creatively fun.

Survival Mode

As a new player, you fresh spawn with literally nothing. You are then tasked with gathering raw materials to make tools and begin crafting survival equipment. You must scavenge abandoned houses and dilapidated cities in order to find clothes, food, water and weaponry to aid in your survival of the unforgiving world.
Every second counts! During the day time, zombies are slow and easy to get past, however at night, they gain the ability to run.. this is truly terrifying as hordes of zombies swarm towards you. Preparation is key, making sure you are stocked up on equipment and have a safe spot to hide at night is essential. To make matters even more challenging, every 7th night you face an even bigger horde that hunt you until sunrise. Again preparation is imperative, make sure you're somewhere safe on the 7th night!

Creative Mode

For me the real fun in this game is in Creative Mode. This game type allows you to have access to every material and item available and bring them together without scavenging the raw materials. With its Minecraft style interface, the game really allows you to 'go nuts' and design elaborate castles and strong holds. My particular favourite thing to create is underground bunkers. Mining down and creating huge tunnels and underground networks is great fun, and keeps you safe from the zombies above! Just make sure you make the base low enough, as the undead do tend to dig down...

Multiplayer

This for me really completes the game, nothing better than creating a base with a friend and defending it from waves of zombies. The game allows up to 4 players per world, and these are not always your friends. Some online players will attempt to attack your base and steal your supplies for themselves! All in all the game is pretty good fun for anyone who loves zombie survival games and loves creative aspects.
Here is a video I found online of people tackling some hordes.. enjoy!

Highly recommend this game! Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Cheers.

Seems like a very nice take on the concept... so... where are the creepers ?

XD

This is the best game I've played because every time you play, You make your own story and what you feel like doing that day. Wanna cut trees, Kill zombies, Hunt, Drive and chill. its Pretty cool.
Just cant wait till the new up date.
