Mass Effect Series
Mass effect is my favorite video game series of all time primarily because of it's role-playing nature and gripping story-line. You take control of a military Commander in a distant future where space travel has become a part of everyday life. You visit distant stars, both habitable and inhabitable, through-out the milky way galaxy for exciting missions, and meet new and very well developed characters along the way. The series was developed by Bioware. The first game in the series, Mass effect 1, was released all the way back in 2007, followed by Mass effect 2 in 2010, and Mass effect 3 in 2012 which was around 5 years ago. It was a continuation of the story of Commander Shepard who you control through-out the series. The best thing about this series is that you make your own story and ending according to the decisions taken while playing the game. Your save files were imported from the previous games into the new game, and the story continued according to your choices in the previous games.
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Mass Effect: Andromeda is the upcoming title in the series set to release on 21st March, 2017 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It is the fourth installment in the series. This will be the the first game in the series that will make you control an entirely new character other than Commander Shepard. It is set in a much later setting than the previous installment, so for the first time, your previous choices will not impact the story-line of the new game. In this game, you'll be able to explore much more than previously possible in the Andromeda Galaxy, and meet many new characters who you can interact with. The released Gameplay videos and screenshots show breath-taking visuals of the game along with very promising story driven experience

A multiplayer gameplay video has also been released recently. However, the main reason people get interested in Mass Effect series is not due to it's multiplayer, but the single-player campaign, which offers an amazing story driven experience. Still, multiplayer is a nice feature to have for people who enjoy it.

If there's one video game series I recommend everybody to play, it's the Mass Effect series. The game takes you to a totally different world with it's unique take on video game story telling. I've never enjoyed playing anything more than Mass Effect series, and I for one, can't wait to get my hands on Mass Effect: Andromeda.
