Battlefield 3 : Incredible Battlefiled #REVIEW NO.37
After all this time we always show the latest Battlefield game trailers by EA and DICE that look very like to try, finally the most eagerly awaited game is also release. Game Battlefield 3 is packed into 2 portions, which is the main portion Multiplayer Online, which has an interesting game mode, leveling characters, many of which can be unlocked, and so on. Then the second is Single Player Campaign with epic storyline and mission. This time we will review the Single Player Campaign on this game. Did DICE expect it to be an impressive war game like in the promotional trailer.
The fictional story of this game is set in 2014, where Sergeant Blackburn leads its members in searching missions, finds, and re-secures the results of US troop investigations of the dangerous chemical weapons owned by PLR led by Solomon. The Battlefield 3 storyline is told in flashback style from a CIA interrogation room. They are being interrogated Sergeant Blackburn and he recounted the missions were poured into the mission of the game that we play. The storytelling style as well as contained in the game Call of Duty Black Ops.
Unfortunately his single player game Battlefield 3 is quite short. This game has a total of 12 missions that will take us to several locations in the world, namely Iraq, Iran, Paris, and New York city. With 3 difficulty levels that can be adjusted, Easy, Normal, and Hard, the mission in this game comes quite varied, there is a mission that will take us from infiltrate the enemy line, attack and defend a location, protect other teams from above building with sniper weapons, to missions that take us in control of tanks and become co-pilots on jet fighters. Unfortunately, we can not control fighter jets, but we only act as shooters and when the enemy missiles that chase our plane, can be broken with Chaff or Countermeasures. After a pretty fierce dogfight in the air, we will continue the mission of air strikes on the enemy on land.
The mission in this game is running linearly, throughout the game we have to follow the squad members are controlled by all computers to guide us from one point to the next point. Although the flow of the game that has terskripsi, this game could make us late in the game atmosphere is really like a real battlefield. The presence of various types of modern weapons that can be used indeed adds exciting experience in this game. But unfortunately the gameplay that is presented too linear so that makes some types of weapons are present at certain times only, such as FIM-92 Stinger used only to drop fighter jets.
All teams have a normal level of intelligence, sometimes they look professional in dealing with one or two of the enemy and then just hiding behind the object while shooting. Sometimes in order to defeat the enemy we do not have to shoot at them all the time, we can take advantage of the objects around us, such as pushing the car down and overwrite the enemies below, tearing down a building filled with snipers.
The existence of Quick Time Event feature interrupted this full action game also adds an exciting impression throughout the game. Just info for the Quick Time Event feature requires that we press the buttons that appear on the screen with precisely and quickly so that our characters in action in the event that took place.
With the latest engine from EA known as Frostbite Engine 2.0 combined with DirectX 11 managed to present a very pampering visual and look very realistic, though with the graphics settings at Low level still looks good. When the mission took place in the evening, it looks very dynamic lighting effects and really look cool. Then the effects of destruction in this game also looks very detailed and the calculation is very accurate, it was seen when one of our members were shot and the weapon fell to the ground and bounced once.
While from the Sound aspect, we will find the sound of shots that sound loud and the explosions near us will cause a buzzing sound for a moment just like in the real world. There is no accompanying music throughout the game and this makes the background sounds distinct, like the sound of footsteps, the fallen rocks, the sound of the engines from the tanks and the planes allow us to guess the direction of the enemy.
Single Player Campaign on Battlefield 3 is really cool with a fairly epic storyline. Unfortunately, the gameplay of this game are too linear and not deep, so it feels like playing a game arcade FPS only. But to get the real exciting experience, you should try the Multiplayer Online portion which is the main portion in Battlefield 3 game.
