Should you stay with intel? Or move to Ryzen? Overlook of AMD's new series of processors. Part 2.
In this thread we will be looking into the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 series and to see if it is worth purchasing instead of the most popular i7 intel series of processors, we will talk about gaming performance and multi tasking performance as well, and i will also be showing some benchmarks this is part 2 see part 1 here.
So Ryzen has slayed the budget dragon when it comes to performance per dollar, and gamers are rejoicing for such good pricing, it is about time AMD released a new series of processors to go up against intel, in this part 2 of Should you stay with intel? Or more to Ryzen? we will be talking about the Ryzen 7 1700 VS the Intel i7 7700k, we will look at pricing and performance against one another and also multi tasking ability.
Pricing:
I7-7700k ( $329.00 USD Avg)
Ryzen 7 1700 ( $298.99 USD Avg)
Now lets look at some specs of these processors
Ryzen 7 1700: Cores 8 | Threads 16 | Base clock 3.0Ghz | L2 cash 4mb.
Intel i7 7700k: Cores 4 | Threads 8 | Base clock 4.20Ghz | 8 MB SmartCache .
So you may be thinking how is this a fair comparison? the Ryzen 7 1700 has way better specs, Intel is more optimized for single core performance way more then AMD and also intel has much higher overclocking capability, so we will look over some benchmarks in some current popular game titles.

Average FPS:
I'm personally rocking an i5 6600k and a 1080. Works great for me :) Looking forward to part 3. imo intel fucked up xD haha
Intel still makes good processors, i'm just glad they finally have some competition :D
