December 19th, 2017 - Crypto Game and Blockchain Gaming Updates
Hello crypto game fans! I’m Ciel and I’m bringing you your news updates for today!
Don’t forget I’m running a game jam over on my personal steemit! Build a game that incorporates crypto or blockchain in some way and submit it to me before January 20th! You could win some Steem, Smartcash, a CryptoKittie, and more!
Let’s get started!

The next chapter of Langdon Bennett - The Invisible Thief has been posted. The story is a serial based on the Steemit based MMORPG Steempunk.
The team behind Decentraland has closed a deal with Aelf and FBG Capital to “build a digital space within Decentraland called Crypto Valley”. This “virtual Silicon Valley” will hopefully attract other crypto and blockchain projects to use the digital city to build connections, hold Meetups, and otherwise engage with their communities through the Decentraland platform.
You can stay up-to-date with particulars of the land auction by visiting Decentraland.fyi (not associated with the team).
Ripio Credit Network, the peer-to-peer credit network based on smart contracts, has announced a credit protocol implementation partnership with Decentraland. In this system, users that own plots of land in the virtual Genesis City (this includes the content and institutions on those land plots), will be able to take and receive loans. The virtual loans network will start development in Q2 2018.
MandelDuck has released another demo video of SaruTobi Island on Youtube. Chris, the developer behind the MandelDuck crypto games, has also published a great piece musing about lightning network and gaming.
An interesting article has popped up around ownership in the crypto games sphere, sparked by the question of “Do You Really Own Your CryptoKitties?”. Mack Flavelle took to the comment section to provide some great responses from the CryptoKitties team that look positive for the new world of owning assets on the blockchain.
Beyond The Void will be launching their White Nebula event online and in two French gaming bars on Dece 20th. The #WhiteNebula event is described by the team as gifts and snow in space. You can download the early access of Beyond the Void on Steam.
Could there be CryptoBunnies in our future? A new subreddit that popped up says maybe...
