Five Nights At Freddy’s is undoubtedly one of the greatest successes in the genre "Terror", obviously speaking of the sudden success it had at that time, which has been 5 years since then. Since then and in later years, the horror industry, especially by independent companies, focused excessively on a type of fright that incorporated this game (although it was not the first to incorporate it), it was based on a sudden fright that is when it attacks us an animatronic, anyone can give a good scare, but this is exaggerated too much in the amount of games that incorporated it, and that happened in each of the games of this saga, which from 2014 to 2016 managed to have 5 games.

For me, FNAF is not a good horror game, and the genre did not work, if it can be considered as part of it.

We all know that FNAF was a great success in 2014, that is also reflected in the amount of videos that came out about this game and its huge reputation, theories, gameplays, music videos, etc, etc. This success was basically due to the youtubers, who brought the game to life and allowed other deliveries. When it comes to playing a horror game we look for tension, a long period in which you are nervous about something that persecutes you or directly because of the lonely and terrifying atmosphere caused by games like Silent Hill or Amnesia The Dark Descent.

FNAF does not use any of this and focuses on a sudden fright that then happens, this is something that is negative for me, considering that its history is interesting and misused.

The misuse of the concept of terror is what has led people to think that these types of games really are scary, terror is basically fear to the fullest, and in this type of games you don't feel terror no matter how horrible the animatronic is, which of course give a bad feeling, but they are not something to feel terror, although they have made many fanmades about FNAF, they all sin of the same error and remain stuck in the same mechanics.

It is known that the game was made by only one person, Scott Cawthon, and with his respect he did not do a bad job, only that he could take better advantage of how interesting the story is. Its gameplay is based on finishing the nights, which each game has 5, although we know that the 2 and the occasional one has 6 nights, considering this, its playability is quite arcade, which is not exactly a bad point, although we know that improvement with respect to each game.

For me, the story of FNAF could be more content and could have given a much better game and saga, even fanmades like Case Animatronics achieve something quite interesting despite using the same enemy prototype, which would have been spectacular to use for the animatronics of FNAF from the beginning.
