Why Borderlands 2 is one of the best FPS/RPG games

I'm guessing everyone has either played or heard of this game. You might have played its predecessor and haven't invested any time into the sequel, but today I'll explain why you should. The first game was amazing, but did Borderlands 2 exceed over it? In my opinion, it definitely did. Not excessively, but it did. So what made it so great?

1) The Perceived Humor

For those of you who have played the first Borderlands would definitely agree with me that it was humor inducing. The sense of this twisted humor didn't only radiate from the NPCs. There were occasions where you would just laugh mid-battle when your enemies opened their mouthes. This didn't go missing in the sequel. Where else could you hear the line "I'll dropkick your babies!" coming from a foe? This really made the game interesting throughout the whole journey. It keeps you waiting for the next pun line and sets a wonderful atmosphere as you progress through the game. There is a balance though - the perceives a kind of darkness as well, so the mixed emotions will definitely make you delve fully into the story. The characters are written amazingly, which is why you might even find yourself caring about a number of them.

2) The Huge Variety of Weaponry

What could be more amazing than having a bunch of options for your favorite weapons? The possibilities of different kind of weaponry are huge, ranging from pistols to rocket launchers. The game encourages you to seek out different types of weapons which have additional effects. They will help you combat enemies who have a specific armor type and are generally harder to defeat.Borderlands 2 really make you feel the variety of numerous weaponry. Even when you think you've found the best weapon yet, there's always something better coming along the way. It was even hard to say goodbye to the weapons I really loved when I found better ones.

3) The Creative Enemies

There are just so many different enemies which appear in the game. You will not only find yourself being attacked by bandits. As the game progresses, there will be a swarm of bugs and mechanical robots chasing you for your head. Each of them have their own weapons and attack types, so it's best to be prepared for anything.Of course, the baddest of them all is Handsome Jack. He's the one you'll be seeking in your journey. He's the head of all the bad things in Borderlands 2. Even though he may be a man with no soul or morals, it's hard not to like him.

4) The Difficulty

Borderlands 2 is a game best played with friends and other people. You might find yourself in need of ammunition quite a couple of times if you're playing alone. Some of the enemies are really tough and need to eat a good amount of bullets before going down. Not to mention there are hordes of enemies thrown at you quite often, which makes the game really difficult at times.Though co-operative does not make it easy as well. You and your buddies might find yourselves under pressure countless of times. But it's what makes the game challenging and even more rewarding as you progress.

5) Quests and Side-quests

The quests and side-quests make up a big part of the game. Taking a break from the main ordeal and participating in various side-quests is really refreshing, as they are very informative, interesting and funny. There is generally a lot of things to learn in the world of Pandora, and completing side-quests will make you meet various characters and get involved fully. In my opinion, this game should be played at a decently slow pace. There's no need to rush anything as there is a lot to explore and experience. To get the most out of the game, rushing it is not the way!

There are lots of things to do in Borderlands 2 and it should intrigue any FPS/RPG lover. It definitely intrigued me and I loved the journey and the emotions it brought me. These were my reasons why it is one of the top games of its genre. Thank you for reading!Share your thoughts.
