Oh I love Inquisition the best of all. It goes so much deeper into the lore of the whole game and the characters are deep and well developed.
You don'T have to have played Dragon Age 2, but I would recommend checking out some videos about the Legacy DLC and about Anders and the ending of DA2 if you don'T intend to play it. Those parts have important details that lead into Inquisition.
