This is a great step, because, let's be honest - lootboxes are just money grabs in games and unnecessary.

Now Belgium declares loot boxes gambling and therefore illegal

  • Wake up call for game developers

Bad

  • It's Belgium... with 11m people. Doubt it'll be enough to make an impact.
  • They have to get a VPN to get access to AAA games

      I agree. Belgium doesn't have a large population, but it is the headquarters of the European Union and NATO. There maybe ripples in Europe because of this. Not sure how likely, but I would say the chance is at least 25%.

      I know people that drop a ton of cash on lootboxes. It's mind boggling. I try hard not to buy them. Do you buy lootboxes?
