The beginning of a genre - Metal gear part 1
Hello everyone and I hope you are well, today I come to tell you the first part of the beginning of a genre - Metal Gear Part 1
Here we go....
The saga of metal gear started as a request for a war game on the part of konami based on the films of the super soldiers of the 80's, but has traveled the opposite way to the Rambo movies. It was born as a fantasy military and entertainment but became something more convoluted, more ambiguous and much more interesting not because it has always been perfect if not all metal gear has had its ups and downs low and that is precisely what makes all we keep talking about these games.
The story of this saga is the most honest and documented that has been in the relationship of a video game author and his work.
Snake began as an action figure, as a soldier with a simple mission but he and his creator Hido Kojima had to face their own myth and fight for 30 years for a particular war neurosis.
The first Metal gear takes us to the Outer Heaven facility a base in South Africa where a nuclear weapon is secretly being built to investigate the activities of the military group operating in Outer Heaven, the US Army sends to the opera unit special Fox Honda directed by the great war hero Big Boss, his best agent Gray Fox infiltrates the base but disappears from the base without a trace, the game puts us in the skin of Solid Snake one of the youngest members of the base that infiltrates with the help of Big Boss and the rest of Fox Hound to rescue Fox and complete the mission.
From the beginning the game and its manual specify that it is a game of infiltration and espionage where we spend the most time of the game hiding from enemies. Unlike the games of this time this included a story that brought drama, suspense and tension.
Within the fortress Snake has to collect weapons and objects in addition to using a codec where "allies" give advice and information about the mission.
Although it is not a game with a very broad story, it manages to put the player in an analytical position at such a level that it induces him to create. I have implemented a strategy for each of the enemies, giving a sense of satisfaction for each advanced level, although is not the best game in the entire series and was thinking as one of the first and last Metal Gear, this was the one that started the masterpiece of Hideo Kojima.
Thank you for your attention I hope you liked it and I will be attentive to your comments and criticisms.
Coming soon ........
I still have this game I should go back and play it again :)
the truth is the game metal gear is very good and additional always has us focused trying to find strategies for each enemy
Hideo Kojima is awesome... almost every game he create is good. I haven't got my hand on the original Metal Gear yet but I played MGS1 and MGS2.
Liked this post and included it in my Gaming Daily in hope someone checks it out.
Is it worth to get it emulated in your opinion?
The original metal gear and the metal gear 2 solid of msx2 are a very satisfying challenge for fans of the saga. I recommend downloading the original versions of msx2 or they are as additional content in metal gear 3 snake eater.
