Aari's review - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

in #gaming7 years ago (edited)

An early console-seller for Playstation and a massive hit during the 90s, Crash Bandicoot was quite the heavy hitter during the time of his 3 best games. Unfortunately time waits for no bandicoot, and after his time in the sun he was dragged deep down into pits of undeniably awful games such as Crash Of The Titans (2007). Can we return to that burning glory once held by Naughty Dog's furry mascot with the release of a remake collection?

Fortunately I have to answer that as a resounding YES. The trilogy of Crash Bandicoot, Wrath of Cortex, and Warped looks absolutely STUNNING in jaw dropping 4k. Although the style of linear platformer has faded and gone these games hold up like fine wine. This extremely faithful recreation has not so much as changed the originals as it has taken the originals and given it MORE. The controls and physics are easy to grasp and the fun each level brings surpasses nostalgia. I would easily give this set of 3 games 4.5/5.
