Valve Company presented its new game called Artifact at a private presentation, and also announced what features it will include.

The president of the company Gabe Newell talked to the gaming press and told about the first details of the card game Artifact on Dota 2. During the last presentation it was possible to learn the most important thing - the game will not be free, like most of its competitors. In it absolutely new mechanics will appear, for example "the phase of purchases", and also AI, which will teach gamers to play. Newell said that the opening of game packs and the creation of its deck will have a "social and competitive experience." In addition, the game will be a market and a workshop, as in Dota 2, where players acquire and sell game items.

Gabe Newell also explained that Artifact is not a Dota 2 card game, but a game that uses Dota as its base for convenience. Meanwhile, she herself will create a lot of content for Dota 2 itself, including new heroes. Artifact will not be a single-player company, because it will focus on playing against live opponents. At the moment the project is at the closed beta stage, which is currently available only for players in the gaming industry.

It is also known that the game currently has 44 heroes and 280 cards. To win the players in Artifact to destroy the enemy towers, which are located on three sides. The three-band structure strongly resembles Dota, although, obviously, the details will still be different. Perhaps the card game will please those fans of Dota 2, who are interested in ENT games, in fact Artifact, in addition to adding new characters, plans to expand it. Also, developers reported that they are trying to make a system for purchasing new cards in such a way that the game does not become a "pay and win" system.
