5 best ports from PC to smartphones
In recent years, our pocket gadgets from ordinary dialers have turned into full-fledged gaming stations. But what can I say, the developers have managed to port not one dozen cult and not very games from large platforms. Today I have prepared for you a list of the top five representatives of the Igroprom still reaching (which is important in the playable form) to phones and tablets.
XCOM: Enemy Within
All those who are familiar with the series XCOM, do not need explanations, but for those who are unfamiliar now I will tell. XCOM: Enemy Within is an expanded version of the strategy "XCOM: Enemy Unknown". According to the plot, the Earth is attacked by aliens, and we, as leaders of the XCOM organization, should contribute to the beating of vile invaders. We have to build and manage the base on which we will plan operations against aliens. In addition, it will be necessary to engage in scientific activities and the modernization of its rapid response unit. In addition to the base management mode, there is a tactical step-by-step mode in which we beat alien faces. The fighting is extremely local and all tasks are solved by a team of four or six fighters, which in general does not prevent the game from being sufficiently deep and interesting.
Grand Theft Auto Series
At the moment, four games from the GTA series visited mobile platforms: Liberty City Stories, San Andreas, Vice City and GTA3. Also worth mentioning GTA: Chinatown Wars, which is not a port from a PC, but not to mention it is just silly. There's really nothing to say here, it's incredibly exciting that Rockstar Games give a new life to their older children on mobile platforms. All this was visited by mobile devices almost in their original form. Of course, the graphics have been cut off a bit, but still not everyone wears the most powerful devices, so this is rather a blessing, who wants to play a lagging game. Management, of course, also leaves much to be desired, but do not forget that you can always connect the gamepad.
Minecraft - Pocket Edition
Perhaps one of the most successful recent projects, which from ordinary indie has grown to the scale of the cult game of each schoolboy. YouTube is simply packed with people with square faces on avatars, and a huge number of them also have channels of one million. The secret of success was very simple - give the person an endless peace and the opportunity to rebuild the whole world as you please and everything. But the developers decided not to stop there. Over time, added survival mode, in which we were able to convert blocks into items, armor into weapons and much more. With each update, something new was added, but the foundation is unchanged. The port is almost the same as the original. Management is maximally adapted for mobile platforms. In general, now the main audience of this pixel masterpiece will be able to add blocks also on the big change between geography and mathematics.
Final Fantasy Series
On mobile platforms, grasped a lot of parts Final Fantasy: from 1 to 9 (except 8). Again, it's incredibly happy that Square Enix also does not forget about their children, although unlike Rockstar, the quality of ports is somewhat lower, well, I'm generally silent about pricing. Nevertheless, it's a sin to complain, after all, we had the opportunity to re-sell the good old "finalku" on their mobile devices, well, or to get to know them, to whom. Management is adapted. In some parts there is a so-called "casual mode", which disables random battles in the world (if you, for example, want to remember the plot, but do not bother much about drochev). Graphics in most did not get better, but it did not become worse either.
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
As soon as Hearthstone came out, my first thought was: damn it would be great to play it on a tablet! In Blizzard, too, obviously not fools are sitting and the port on mobile devices did not take long to wait. Talk about the game perhaps too much. Even if you are a person far from card games, do not hear about ** Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft ** you just could not. It has captured the minds of many millions of players around the world and is not going to release them in the foreseeable future. A great combination of the card game, the familiar setting and the unique skill of Blizzard has borne fruit.
