Trying out a game with a friend!

picture on my tv!

Recently I tried a new game on my friend's nintendo switch, it was really fun. It's a Japanese game about drumming! I don't have much rhythm but it was still really fun.
It's based on traditional Japanese taiko drums, but you can play along to songs from any time, from anime opening songs to game theme tunes.

How many people can play?

When I played, it was me and just one other friend. I'd really recommend it though as there are even fun party games on it to play with more friends (I think max 4). I hope I can play it with more people next time!

After a while...

The game does get a bit tiring after a while as I concentrated really hard in order to get the beats done right! There were times though in the party games section that I couldn't understand what the rhythm was. I wondered if it was a cultural one as they have games set in festival atmospheres, or maybe it was just my lack of rhythm haha.

Would I buy it?

I saw online that you can get the game for £40, which is about 200 STEEM I think. I don't think I'd buy it for myself as I would also need to get the console which I don't have haha. I have a nintendo switch lite but that type does not have the detachable controllers like the nintendo switch, which I think this particular game needs? If I already had the console I would definitely have bought this, it's so fun to play with another person and can definitely be played by yourself too.

Design

I really like all the little characters it has, in the picture you can see quite a few! They're really cutely drawn. They also each have different 'abilities' that help your gameplay, I was surprised to see Kirby in it as well. The game is really easy to play and navigating the different games/songs is also really easy! It didn't take me very long to get used to the controls.

Here's a video with someone playing the game using the joy-con controllers, like I did! This one uses the motion controls though, I couldn't really find a video that was when 2 players play.

Another way to play is buying the actual drum controller! This is just like a taiko drum and is specific to the Taiko no Tatsujin games.

As you can see, the songs have different difficulty modes as well, and it's amazing seeing videos with people playing really hard songs!

Hope you like it!

Oh wow! This game looks like a lot of fun. It definitely does seem like it could get very tiring after a while, especially if you try to keep up with the rhythm! 😁

Thank you for your upvote, do you play any games like this?

Not really! I'd definitely want to try some though!
