I don't know you, but you basically described my current situation to a tee! Wow!

"Reinventing myself" is where I am headed (or at actually), and currently it is psychologically very stressful!

The interesting side effect there is that it can be a real struggle to feel inspired to create one's new future when your starting point is that you feel beaten down and exhausted simply as a result of trying to navigate and negotiate an overwhelming and failing Present.
Although I am definitely moving forward... I find that the steps of progress I make are often so tiny that it's almost depressing to observe my own lack of progress.

The only thing for it is to keep on keeping on. You will get through it and are probably making more progress than you think. I know I sure hope I am :-)
