How to "LOL"!
When you probably say something petty, use “lol” for extra seasoning
When you are trying not to come off as mean, just add “lol” as a context softener
When you are actually laughing, put it in caps lock— ex: “LOL”
When you are laughing at something your friend said that wasn’t funny, but you have to support them anyway
When you are being passive-aggressive and using “lol” to show that you are not really laughing
“Okay lol” (this is universal)
When “lmao” is too strong to use in that context, but “lol” is enough to show that you put a slight amount of effort into the response
