HOW TO REMEMBER WHY BEARDS ARE SO COOL!

in #funny7 years ago (edited)

Firstly, I'm not the best person to write on this topic, in that A) I don't have a beard B) I don't think I ever will! That being said, they are extremely cool and I, obviously am not, so here I point out some reasons why beards are both cool and practical for all you beard enthusiasts out there!

I'm sure all us guys don't need to tell the ladies just how great the beard invention is. Why? Well for one thing, it's practical as well as fashionable! We can live through an Alaskan winter knowing full well that not only will it keep our face bloody warm as toast but it will give us something to stroke continuously (among other things), to give our minds something to do other than dwelling on such mindless questions such as "what the hell were we thinking for moving to somewhere so god damn cold to start with"!
Sunny warm days, that's more where it's at and what better way to celebrate hot sunny days than with a beard- protection from a sweat drenched face and pesky flies and mozzies constantly banging about the face looking for fresh skin as a way to completely piss you off. When constant swatting of insects won't do it, then let them try and find their way through a wiley and strangely beard- good luck cheeky lil buggers!

As you may or may not have guessed, full facial hair goes back to the cave man days- again, the practicalities prevailed here- only for the fact that they hadn't worked out a way to cut it off the face yet. If beards were in fashion, then that would have been purely a stroke of luck.

Image now replaces status with beard growth and length. In historical times, the length and cut of a man's beard was a symbol of wisdom, privilege and social status- how original.
Many of the latest celebrities and thought provoking men of modern times, swan around with manicured beards simply to persuade us they are the hip ,new and current, not the kind of pre- current near middle aged celebrity from the 80s sporting a moustache and calling himself Magnum PI.

So ladies next time you forget that beards are a bit too manly, unkissable and ridiculous, just consider the time and effort taken to produce such a bush of facial hair. While you're obsessed with removing every single minute hair from your body, real men it seems, aren't!
