Hello Steem Friends & Family,

I started out a few months ago very excited about trying to create content on a daily basis, but my health has hindered things.
I want to touch on a very serious issue, chronic illness. As a person suffering from the affects of Lyme disease and yes it's real and
for the skeptics, I'll gladly show you my lab work. What's worse is my entire family is affected by this little-known disease.

Having a large family and all7 of us being ill at the same time sucks, to put it mildly. The best of intentions cannot overcome fatigue and sickness sometimes. I was hoping that trying to be a content creator would help the budget since I've been unable to work full time because of being sick and helping my family deal with this illness.

The frustration level of watching everyone succeed in the crypto space is hard to describe. WhileI'm sincerelyyy happy for everyone that's doing so well I have to remind myself not to be sour grapes just because my circumstances are going as well.
Be a mature guy you know, turn the lemon into lemonade.

Now I have a radical idea, and after a heaping dose of reality about my good fortune compared to others, I'm hoping Steem can be a space to help some folks that are less fortunate. My wife and I have spent a great deal of time researching to uncover the cause of our health problems. In doing so I found heart-wrenching stories of people completely broke, unable to get health care, doctors completely indifferent to an illness that is just becoming understood in main-stream medical research and people setting up go fund me's asking for anything just to make it to the next day.

I propose to all of you, how could we as a community use this platform to help people with expenses that literally will help keep some folks alive. I don't know anything about fundraising, but I do know we collectivelyy have got to get away from all the sad and divisive political rhetoric and focus on the what unites us. Forget our political affiliations and let's just love our neighbor darn it!

How could we use this platform to help folks raise funds to pay for medication and get treatment for a horrible disease that gets very little attention in the media or medical community.

I would love to hear from all of you, if you care to share please do.

Also please follow me and upvote.

Thanks,
Chris Gilbert
