A Chess Tournament powered by STEEMIT! [Fundraising for Future Projects]

Hello everyone! About 3 weeks ago, we launched our steem-based organization called Project Eleven which aims to bring Filipinos to steem blockchain by organizing events all powered by steemit.

With that as our goal, we are happy to announce that we’ve just officially set our first engagement project which is a chess tournament for kids.

Well if you guys remembered, we partnered with the local chess club here in Iligan, which is the Metro Iligan Chess Club (or MICC) and discussed future events in collaboration with them.

Again if you guys have been following my blog before, we’ve agreed to organize and sponsor a chess tournament open for kids aged 15 years old and below.

So today, our team and some of the people from MICC have finally finalized the event’s rules and regulations, as well as its game system. Each game will be played with 30 minutes time control game at 7 round Swiss system.

If you are interested with the said event or for the project initiative itself, then please feel free to follow the page and read the finalization post of @project-eleven here. The tarp is already ready and will be posted in Lai-Lai tomorrow.

By the way, participants will need to pay 30 pesos as registration fee for the event. The registration fee will served as funds for the organizers and the people working on it to help cover some expenses such as foods, arbiter’s fee and etc.

The event is already advertised and promoted in other social media sites such as facebook while others also endorse it to other coach/trainers through word of the mouth.

Therefore, significant number of participants will be expected during that day. We at @project-eleven will of course, cover the event and our team will write of course record it.
