HOW I SURVIVED A WEEKEND TRIP WITH ONLY 3 SOCKS 🧦✈️
I consider myself an “experienced traveler”—which basically means I’ve made every mistake at least once.
But nothing could’ve prepared me for my recent weekend getaway that turned into a masterclass in improvisation. All because I packed… three socks. Not three pairs. Three individual socks.

🧳 Packing Like a Pro (Or Not)
Packing the night before a trip always feels like a good idea—until you’re standing in a hotel room holding a single left sock and two that don’t match.
To make things worse, I also forgot toothpaste, deodorant, and (somehow?) underwear. At this point, I wasn’t traveling light—I was traveling unprepared.
Note to self: the phrase “I’ll pack in the morning” is just a fancy way of saying “I enjoy chaos.”

🚿 Surviving Without the Essentials
Let’s just say: hotel shampoo was used in creative ways. I now know it can double as:
• Body wash
• Laundry detergent
• Emergency hair gel (don’t ask)
And yes, I did wash a sock in the bathroom sink and blow-dry it with the hairdryer. Was I proud? No. Was it effective? Surprisingly, yes.

🧭 Adventures on Foot (Because I Missed the Bus)
At one point, I missed my tour bus because I was trying to hunt down a pharmacy to buy deodorant. I ended up walking 12 kilometers, discovering beautiful backstreets, a local bakery, and developing a new appreciation for comfortable shoes (which I also didn’t pack).
So really, it was all part of the plan. Kind of.

🤷♂️ Moral of the Story?
You don’t need a five-star hotel or a perfectly organized suitcase to have an adventure. Sometimes all it takes is a few missing items and a willingness to laugh at yourself.
Would I do it all again?
…Let me check how many socks I have first.
