I think you make some excellent points, but if I were to join EOS's steemit killer wouldn't that be moving back in to EVERY reason I came to crypto.

I think we still have a Niche. I think the odds of us competing with any large social media sites, with our current tools, stakeholders and funding is NIL.
That doesn't mean a lot of people will not do well here.
I think we are getting exactly what we have earned. A small committed community and nothing more or less is likely to happen under current circumstances.
and you got the point. Yeah for us its a big red-flag. This shows what Steems unique selling point is. It is a DAO. But the questions stays: what upsets people that they leave? Clearly the moral hazards and ill-incentives.
We need to make sure that bigger accounts get their passive income, but not by writing pseudo-posts and self-upvoting. They steal the show from professional authors. In 2017/18 we had some bigger YouTube here and they all left.
