Facebook Shut Down My Account After 12 Years, Demanding That I Send Them Government-Issued ID

in #fuckfacebook8 years ago (edited)

Facebook administrator(s) have informed me that my 12-year-old account will be shut down on January 30th unless I present scans of government-issued identification. That will not happen, ever, so hello Steemit!

I can only speculate that various police department staff and their vigilante online mob are behind this Facebook demand, as I've become the target of their personal and online threats from all over the USA since sharing video of a public execution in downtown (USA city name redacted) several months ago and compiling info on murderous police staff. While my "gaklinator" identity could easily be exposed by highly resourceful individuals or organizations, it provides a level of protection against day-to-day harassment, and possibly an early warning against more serious threats.

As civilization now spirals into the next vortex of world war, situations like this demonstrate the great need for a truly decentralized open-source social media platform. In such a system it's only the individual users who decide what content they see or block, not Big Brother, which in my case is employees of the Facebook corporation.

In the coming world order, Facebook and others like it become propaganda tools of the totalitarian state, as corporate social media administrators are forced to abide by the political demands of the state, or more commonly, they do so voluntarily out of a brainwashed patriotism. This is why the only truly free social media platforms will be decentralized, run only by computer algorithm, never distinguishing between the usernames "POTUS" and "ISIS". Math does not know politics, therefore, computers do not.

Luckily, the same network architecture that makes digital currencies like bitcoin possible, called blockchain, also makes just such decentralized social media platforms possible. But like bitcoin, the problem right now is like the early days of the internet, with somewhat of a technical barrier to entry.

While the Steemit.com website provides user-friendly access to the underlying Steemit network, registration does require SMS text verification due to spam concerns. A semi-user friendly method for fee-based anonymous account creation can be found at: https://anon.steem.network/

Creating an account manually is beyond the scope of this message, but it's a great way to really understand the beautiful architecture of a blockchain network.

Long Live Steemit. Long Live the Blockchain. May Facebook burn in Hell.

tell all your peeps on facebook to come here. gather some success stories (I made $500 in 5 months here), and explain that even a few cents to them for their work is a LOT better then a few bugs to fuckerburg

Yeah, what Steve said. Bring any friends and followers here. They can't shut you down and you may even make some money posting the same/similar content.

I joined Steemit back in August. My account value is ~$5000 right now. Never made a dime on Facebook.

This place, that is not a place, feels. . .weird, but anything to keep in contact with you, husband.

Husband! My beloved Husband!

Hey, welcome to Steemit! 😋

Do you have a copy of the message they sent you? I'd be interested to read it, maybe compare it to see if it matches their terms and conditions 🤔

Thanks personz. I am sure it matches their TOS since they can more or less put whatever they want in there. That's thier right, and it's my right to use Steemit :) Here's the messages they sent me: https://imgur.com/a/i7MdP

Wow, I hadn't realized they were going that far! Good bye forever Facebook 😖
