Pinoys (Filipinos) are Sooooooooooo Nice..

Hi there steemians,

I wanted to make a post about the sheer friendliness and caring shown by the people here in Philippines. :) (all but 1 grumpy old man that scolded me like I'm a 10 year old boy.. btw,, he is fat, about 5'5, 65 years old, 60 kg.. I am working out, 5'11, 44 years young, 80 kg, and took many years of aikido and bjj.. just sayin')

Its almost funny to me how everyone here (more so in the provinces, but also in manila, just not as much) are soo nice and friendly. They will jump up to try and help (they'll carry me if I let them) and since I am also using a cane now (car accident 20 years ago) they are doubly more concerned for me. I am slowly learning to appreciate that kind of treatment.. I've grown up learning to mind yourself, and that to treat other people as fragile is like insulting, and saying to them, 'u r like a kid or an senior citizen.. to be helped acrossed the street or who can't carry any groceries!)

I have learned to smile and say thank you to everyone who helps me. I know they are showing sincere respect and caring, not mocking me. (except grumpy pants)

That's all I really wanted to say on it. I am really falling in luv with this country I am living in now.
