Pope

in Freewriters15 days ago

There used to be a Sire "commercial" where a child said: Who is that man, who cuts the meat every Sunday? (see the video above, it was meant to stimulate man to take part in family life).

Let's say that this is the good old days when fathers still worked and meat was affordable and indeed father was also the best horse in the stable and after work sat on his ass doing nothing while mother, the woman, could do the dishes and serve him at his beck and call because he had already worked.

It's nice that those men are almost extinct, at least where I live, although I did read today that solo living will become more and more normal in the future. Is that bad? Not in my opinion. I am not bored, although it would be nice if I had someone to do the shopping and pull the weeds, but people with skills are also becoming increasingly rare (one of the biggest problems that a German researcher (economist?) raised a few years ago and I thought he had substantiated that story well.

As for the Pope, that man is not really interesting to me. I have no interest in old men who stand there babbling some blessing or other incomprehensibly.

I have never looked into the last Pope (the one who died). I also do not really believe that they have a vision. I think that the Popes have had their day, just like the royal families that only have an expensive price tag.

Have you seen the last Pope? You can find him on X (former Twitter). I wonder who will be the next to wear the suit, it looks like a police commercial (that cap fits everyone and then instead of cap the miter)

I could write at length about this title for a novel.
The times when meat was affordable.
Meat was palatable.
He was a tough guy who constantly mowed the brush. He spit on the grass like nobody's business. And he hated cats. This morning he had snapped the neck of one of the geese in the pen on a pure whim and to feel the break. The bones rattling. Life hanging on the last gasps. And for the appetizing meat.
Kept then whistling a ditty as he swiftly scraped the knives to try to get more edge out of it.
Then he would go for the week's groceries.
Perhaps it would all be nothing more than lying down to feel the chill of the evening and watch the hated bedbugs trying to reorganize their bedbug life in the remains of the garden.

it's not a novel yet...

Kept then whistling a ditty as he swiftly scraped the knives to try to get more edge out of it.

This is the best and most funny part.. I can work with that, that is if I remember it after I read 278 replies.... or more.

Meat will be rare and even the vegan fake is very expensive and don't see Gates his chemical lab meat being cheap let alone it causes more cancer and it's bet for the environment.

Thanks for stopping by and above all make me laugh.

P.s. I believe we ended up in the wrong century or country. Where did all the meat and fish go?

I'm glad to make you laugh, you might come up with some great stuff, haha. Always remember to look under the car before driving. Because of the branches and noises. We can write many things about dissimilar ways to use knives, even for cutting meat recently printed on 3D printers.
I remember when I had a printing business. A lot of ideas come to mind. I was very creative at the time. Printers make it so you can see ideas materialize.

Wha did you print? Pork or dollars? I am looking forward to read that Exodus story... who took the money or was it the paper or the printer or all three? I suspect the National Bank of Cuba. Am I right or am I right?

Actually, it was the ants that killed the business. hahaha. They snuck into the new printer and hatched their eggs, which destroyed the electronic circuitry. It was always a very good business, especially in Cuba, where all the bureaucracy needs a lot of paper and there is no place to print. Only private individuals and there are very few of them. I had invested a lot in the new printer and it got screwed that way. And then came the great depression. The printers are worth in Cuba like a first class trip to Dubai. And although I know a lot about that. It was time to start up in other places.
Exodus is part of something bigger. Definitely, it is already written.

An invasion of ants sounds more like influx although I assume what came out of those eggs also found a way out. It's the first time I hear that a printer is destroyed by ants! They must have had an averse against electronics. I hope the ants are safe? LOL

It may seem unusual. But the truth is that it has happened to me at least twice. With a Wiffi antenna. Here are some big ants with wings. They love warm places and ants look for magnetic fields. Are they experts in geophysics or electronics? They attach their eggs with a sticky liquid that damages electronic components. It's like dropping acid.

It's true, those men are almost extinct, hahaha. In fact, it's women who have taken charge of this, hahaha.
I don't like the Pope. I think he's a man dressed in a religious robe, under which the evil of the clergy is hidden.
It's absurd to think he's a representative of GOD on earth. There are NO saints on earth. If that were the case, why do you have to die to reach heaven, the place where all holiness is found

The unfathomability of life. If you believe in heaven, by logic there must be hell. The eternal conflict of good and evil. No one has come back from either side. So I have to believe what is written in a book. (The first men, not so holy and who by all accounts did not die in misery) One can talk a lot about holiness. But I even remember a biblical passage of Jesus with, with a rich man, who asks him if he would enter the kingdom of heaven, that he had always kept the commandments. Jesus answered him to go back and distribute all his riches among the poor. The famous phrase arises that it was easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
I only see opulence in most religious places. And if they hand out cake, isn't that what is left over, what they were going to throw away anyway? I see many expensive cars, much gold, many tunics of the finest fabrics. In contrast with a lot of misery and people without even drinking water. I hope if they go somewhere, they don't wake up in a lake with colorful flames.

You say it's easier for a camel than a rich man, how about the poor devils, scammers, thieves and so on.. or is heaven an empty place?

By the way in the holy book is written: heavens, which means there's more than one..I assume the 7th is the best and where all lovers or people with a jolly nature stay.

Interesting statement about the cake.. it's a good thing I wrote down that at my funeral, no cake should be served to the 0.025 people stopping by to check if I am really dead. LOL

You are like the everlasting gods, blessed. Blessed. We don't need cakes and such mortal nonsense, do we? And if there are so many skies, surely they can be adorned with new clouds. More pelicans. Better sunsets and new landscapes.

and potato fields if we like french fries, some coconuts to make a fire to grill birds.. the pelicans are died or? We better find something else before the sun sets.

I admit that the pope isn't the most sexy man in dress and if it comes to heaven, the only thing that comes to m find that it must be a boring place to be and I have no intention of going over there and meet all those hypocrites saying they are the good people. No thanks. I rater stay in the jungle.
