5 Minute Freewrite: Parasol
Hi, everyone! This is my first try at one of these 5 minute freewrites, and I find that this was rather fun! I hope to do more in the future soon. Thank you all for reading, and I hope you enjoy.
It hurt. Everything hurt so badly. She didn't want to see him.
So she didn't.
It was spring. Above, there was nothing but puffy white clouds and sun. Far too much for her liking. The yellow rays fell upon her umbrella (parasol for the delicate folk who paid more attention to the frills on the damn thing than its use). It was a delicate thing, barely shielding her from the glaring light. Her mouth twisted at the thought.
She lowered her arm, pointing the stupid little contraption down the lonely little avenue--the green waving of the trees around her gave her all the more incentive. How could everything be so vibrant and alive when she wasn't?
Spinning the umbrella, she let the white lace flutter uselessly in the wind, and when she closed it, he was there once again.
Very nice! You need to join us again, and again. With that in mind:
