polish the brass moustache

I wanted to spell that mustache. Can it be spelled either way? What the heck is a brass moustache? Mustache? Is that a saying? I don't know it if it is one. Polishing things takes time and it's only worthwhile if you care if they shine. I don't care if most things shine but I guess I can imagine what it would be like to be a person who has brass things and wants them to shine. I polish my jewelry sometimes. My sterling silver earrings and necklaces sometimes get tarnished, and I don't like the way that looks, so I polish them. But not too often. More often, I look past the tarnished silver and choose some other item that isn't tarnished and therefore doesn't require any work to prepare to wear. I clean and put some waxy stuff on my boots sometimes. I've actually been meaning to do that for a couple months and just haven't gotten around to it. I should do that. It takes time and effort but I am always happy with the end result, and feel like my boots will last longer. The air is really smoky outside. I mean, not smoky like it must be for people much closer to the fires, but just kind of a haze of ick and drifting ash. I have stopped typing so I just started again even though I don't know exactly what I want to say, so here are some filler words. Just...we're looking at a property in Michigan. Just a plot of 10 or so acres of land that's for sale near Lake Superior. It would be something to just drop tens of thousands of dollars on a property. Money we can't/shouldn't really spend.
